Must catch this new Bullpitt series and compare it to the original one.

The original series was screened about late '70's, I think. It was called "Kingswood Country" then because Ted Bullpitt was the proud and patriotic owner of such a vehicle. Many of his utterances of frustration would not pass for political correctness these days. Bullpitt's daughter was married to an italian (played by Lex Marinos), whom he used to call "The Wog".

Some of Bullpitt's phrases from those days:

(i) "Bloody Wog!"

(ii)" Pickle me grandmother!"

(iii) "Someone should blow nuns up." (Anything that caught his displeasure had to be blown up).

(iv) "The Kingswood?! You're not taking the Kingswood, I've just shampooed the jack !"

(v) "...The PHANTOM is the ghost who walks. Mandrake is the bloke with the brill cream and the bald boong."

(vi) "Waddaya wreckon, Thel (his wife). Can you see it?...You know, me dingle-twang."

And for good measure, one from Thel:

(vii) "Ted, you look so ....so sort of....poofter pommy."

Such were the dayz z z. zzzzzzz of political incorrectness.
